Two little girls are placed in a standard sized bathroom tub with approximately six inches of water. Their combined height is approximately 5′. Their combined weight is around 60 lbs. After 20 minutes, the post bath time towel count is as follows: 2 sopping-wet full-sized bath towels; 2 moderately-wet full sized bath towels (will drip water when wrung); 2 wet washcloths. In addition to the aforementioned linens, 2 large puddles of water are on the bathroom floor.
Now here’s the problem: How is it that there is more water in the towels, on their bodies, and on the floor than we put in the tub in the first place? Go figure.
